2022 Jimmy Meyers Scholarship Recipients

The purpose of the Berkner Booster Club is to support all extracurricular activities and organizations of the L.V. Berkner Senior High School.  The Berkner Booster Club works at all times in cooperation with officials of the Richardson Independent School District. The Berkner Booster Club is a 501c non-profit organization. 

Berkner Booster Club Jimmy Meyers Scholarship:

Jimmy Meyers was a Berkner Student Athlete that was described as the ideal teammate. Tragically, one month before graduation Jimmy was killed by a Drunk Driver. Each year a group of students are awarded scholarships based on an application process trying to find students that meet Jimmy’s qualities. 

These qualities were designated by Jimmy’s parents and some of the things looked for are:

Model Citizen – not the best athlete, but the person that exemplifies integrity, honor, character, & love for our community, and team, and puts others above self.

As we continue to honor Jimmy and the legacy he left behind for others to follow, many years after his tragic death, we greatly appreciate your support of the Berkner Booster Club and the Jimmy Meyers Scholarship
